〰 Car Diffusers

1- Unscrew the wooden lid, remove the plastic stopper and screw the wooden lid back on.
2- Tip the bottle upside down for 1-2 seconds, allowing the fragrance to absorb into the lid.
WARNING: If you tip the bottle for too long the fragrance has the potential to clog the wood and leak.
3- Remove the wooden lid and replace the plastic stopper to prevent leakage.
4- Replace the wooden lid and tie/hang on your car rear view mirror or anywhere you want!
5-Repeat the steps to add more fragrance

For refills; Unscrew the lid and use the dropper to refill your hanging car diffuser.

General safety: Do not ingest the oil, seek medical attention immediately. Prohibit to use for any purpose other than its intended use of fragrance. Keep this product out of the reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes or skin, if occurs, rinse with water immediately. if irritation persist, contact a physician. Avoid contact with furnishing, fabric and painted or wooden surfaces. It is dangerous to leave the product near the flame. Do not use the oil in an enclosed place without adequate ventilation.
Disclaimer: Please note that diffuser oils are corrosive if spilled and can potentially ruin the plastic/vinyl of the interiors of the car, so please be careful when tipping the bottle to saturate the top. We recommend re-applying the plastic topper after every use as it can avoid spills.

By purchasing this product you release Studio Akiyo from any liability. In the event that you receive a damaged item please message us so we can replace it. If you choose to use a damaged item we are not responsible for any damages that may occur.

〰 Decorative Candles

Our decorative candles are designed for decorative use. However, if you do choose to light them up, burn time may vary due to the irregular shapes and sizes.

Burning instructions
• Remove the tag and any decorations on the candle before lighting.- If you want to maximize the burning time, always trim the wick to 1/4'.- Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
• When not in use, place your candle away from direct sunlight and nearby heat sources.
• Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface that will collect any wax as spilling is expected.
• Do not burn decorative candle for more than 2 hours at a time.
• To prevent possible heat damage on the candle holder or tray that you are using, you should always stop using the candle when there is only 1/4'' of wax left.

General safety: To prevent fire and serious injury: burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

〰 Home Decor

Our home decor items are made from Jesmonite (eco-friendly & sustainable water-based ingredient) and are all poured, sanded and sealed by hand in our studio. They also come with cork bottoms to protect your surfaces from scratches.

Care instructions
• Wipe clean with a non-abrasive damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Prolonged exposure to water will lead to water marks.
• Do not put in the microwave or dishwasher.
• Avoid dropping as it may break.

Jesmonite is heat and fire resistant but if you are using your tray to burn decorative candles, white/discoloration on the surface is expected.

〰 Incense Sticks

Our hand dipped incense sticks are perfect for creating a calming, peaceful atmosphere while reducing stress on the mind and body. In addition to its calming properties, the fragrant smoke is known to promote positive energies and ward off negative vibes in any space.

How to use incense sticks
1- Place your incense stick in an appropriate incense holder. If the holder does not collect the ashes that will fall or you are unsure, make sure to place a tray or dish underneath the holder.
2- Trim the stick as necessary to ensure a proper fit.
3- Light the end of the incense stick until a flame is established. Allow it to burn for a few seconds to ensure it is properly lit.
4- Gently extinguish by blowing or fanning out the flame.

Your stick should glow red and a gentle wisp of smoke should be seen. 

General safety: To prevent fire and serious injury: Please ensure you put the incense on surface that is heat-resistant. Please ensure that you do not leave the incense unattended. Keep incense out of reach of children or pets. Do not touch remnants of the stick incense right after it has finished burning. Do not place next to an open window where a breeze could knock your holder and burning incense stick over. You should not burn incense if you have asthma or suffer from a respiratory condition.

〰 Reed Diffuser

1- Unscrew the plastic lid, remove the plastic stopper and screw the wooden lid back on.
2- We recommend placing 6 to 8 reed sticks depending on the strength of the fragrance you want.
3- After 10 minutes, flip the reed sticks so that the saturated ends are exposed in the air.
4- Spread your reeds out as much as possible to let the air circulate in between them.
5- Allow up to 24 hours for the fragrance to fully diffuse, add more reeds if necessary.
6- Flip the reeds every 1-2 weeks to keep the scent fresh and strong. Do this carefully, one by one to avoid letting the fragrance oil drip out.
7- Fully replace the reeds after 12 weeks of use.

WARNING: Avoid contact with skin, eyes, surfaces and furnishings. Keep away from heat sources. Keep our of reach of children and animals. Do not consume. Do not ingest the diffuser liquid. Avoid placing in areas where the bottle can be knocked over. Contents may damage wood and porous surfaces if spilled. Use protective gloves when handling the reeds.

〰 Wax Melts

Our wax melts are suitable for use in electric and tea-light burners.

How to use wax melts
Place a single wax melt in the well of your electric wax melt warmer or ceramic dish of your wax burner and light an unscented tealight below. Once the wax is warm, it will melt and spread fragrance. Add more melts if needed. Only burn wax melts on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time.

How to change your wax melts
If your wax warmer is not on and the wax has hardened, it is easier to remove the melts by turning the warmer back on or relighting the tealight for 10-30 seconds so the wax loosens in the dish as it is easier to remove as a solid piece. Apply a light amount of pressure to the melt and and the melt should pop out in a semi solid form. Be sure to wipe away any excess with a paper towel.

How to store your wax melts
Wax melts are sensitive to light and temperature, you can avoid your wax melts from cracking and melting by storing in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep your wax melts dust free by keeping the extra wax in their original packaging.

〰 Wood Wick Candles

When lighting your wood wick candle for the first time, burn the candle until wax melt across the entire surface. This will prevent tunnelling and create an even burn for the duration of the candle's life.

Burning Instructions
• If you want to maximize the burning time, always trim the wick to 1/8'' (3mm).
• Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
• When not in use, place your candle away from direct sunlight and nearby heat sources.
• Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
• Do not burn decorative candle for more than 2 hours at a time.
•  To prevent possible heat damage on the jar, you should always stop using the candle when there is only 1/4'' of wax left.
• Once you are done with your candle, it is time to clean your jar and reuse it! Our jars has been thoughtfully designed has a multifunctional piece for your home that can be used for your plants, storing stationeries, hair accessories & so much more!

If you are having difficulties trimming your wooden wick using a wick trimmer, you can use a pair of big nail trimmer. Especially near the end of your jar, you might find this little trick quite useful!

〰 Repurpose your candle jar

The end of your wood wick candle does not necessarily mean the end of your jar! In fact, our jars has been thoughtfully handmade and designed has a multifunctional piece for your home.

How to clean your jar
Pour boiling water into the vessel and let it sit until the water has cooled completely. Use a spoon to remove the remaining wax and you might have to pull out the wick. Discard the water and the wax. Wipe the vessel clean with a warm cloth or paper towel and let dry completely.

How to reuse your jar
